The S58 is currently the greatest BMW engine ever made. It is a 3.0 litre with a  9.3:1 compression ratio in a inline six arrangement with twin turbo chargers, The engine has multiple improvements over its predecessor the S55. Such as the fuel system increased to 350bar of pressure from 200bar on S55, improved ignition system, Larger turbos which are if anything oversized in stock power but brilliant for us looking to increase performance, the crank hub issue from S55 is no longer here because of a keyway crank hub.


The conrods are noticeably thicker meaning more torque can be generated, the lower compression allows for more boost and the 8hp76 gearbox is able to handle large amounts of torque compared to the previous gen DCT gearbox. This engine is a tuners dream.


At the time of writing our G80 shop car sits at 1000 BHP but we have developed the power of it in stages starting with just ECU tuning resulting in our VT650 package, then exhaust modifications which is our VT700 package.


From that point we introduced flexfuel (ethanol) and created our VT800 package.  Its at this power the latest supercars will not be able to keep up anymore. The engine and turbos are still able to create more power but its at this point we near the limits of the cars fuelling capabilities and to maintain fuelling reliability cap around 800 BHP.


Always looking to push and develop we increased fuelling capability with a secondary fuel system. With the increase in fuelling our VT900 Shop car was born. This featured on some race channels and attended multiple events for testing and promotion. The car became the fastest 'Stage 2' or Stock turbo G80 in the UK running a 4.3 100-200 and a 9.4 1/4mile.


We are now at the limit of engine & gearbox capabilities with our VT1000 setup. Our car runs hybrid turbos with all mentioned above. For our customers upgraded engine internals are required at this point but we like to show what is possible with precise careful mapping and as such our shop car remains on its original engine and gearbox without modification. The car currently runs a 3.9 100-200 and is the fastest in the country on a standard engine.


Our tuning is offered inhouse on our braked 4wd v-tech dyno or remotely anywhere in the world using datalogging to fine tune and customise your mapping.


Tuning methods available:


  • ECU Unlock

    BMW cars manufactured after June 2020 require an unlock process that takes a few days. Currently worldwide there one solution to unlocking the ecu, It is a required step to gain write access to the ecu . Due to this extra step we ask the vehicle is left with us upto 1 week. 


    Over time this has become a very regular process for us and one we are confident in providing.


    During this unlock process its possible to enable bootmod3 custom rom, mhd custom rom or if keeping costs down we can flash direct to ecu with no additional licenses requried although we do love the extra features bm3 and mhd provide.

    Our own G80 was used for development in our stage 1 tuning, we was able to achieve some fantastic times and dyno figures whilst maintaining safe boost, ignition and temperatures ensuring the car can be used in all enviroments, The car felt completely transformed. 


    Our custom mapping for the S58 completely transforms the car and adds the ability for customised burbles, exhaust valve control and multiple maps switchable whilst driving. Our software coupled with gearbox mapping awakens the S58 into a different level of machine. No hardware modifcations are required.

    This is a one week turn around for a stock car built after june 2020. We take power from 510bhp to 700bhp. Performance is unrelatable to a standard vehicle with real world performance rarely matched in other vehicles. For those wanting that extra performance flexfuel capability can be added taking power to 800bhp with no need to switch maps and the car detecting the change in fuel with our VT800 Flex Package.


    Our own shop car g80 runs this package and is currently the uk fastest stock engine/ stock turbo car. We have tested the car at santa pod, on officially gassed, at a 1mile event against our own f90 m5 and the car has been to the nurburgring to see how it performs in every condition. 


    We believe its important to develop reliable but also fast packages which has been possible for us with extensive developement and testing. Our M3 has performed over 150 Launch controls and exceeded 200mph in testing.

  • VT800 Stage2 Flex

    Need more than Stage 2 power but wanting to keep reliability and daily driver benefits?


    With our VT800 Package we utilise flexfuel, this package is our VT700 with an added flexfuel sensor. This means your car makes 700bhp on 99ron and when at race events just adding Ethanol into your petrol tank, the cars power is automatically increased upto 800 BHP and then returns to 700 BHP when 99ron is refilled again. No map switching, no flashing, its all automatic.



  • VT900 Stage 2 Max

    This is the package we used to create the UK's Fastest Stock engine, Stock turbo & stock gearbox car. Competing with fully forged and upgraded turbo cars.

    A common complaint with the s58 is the delayed slow shifts with gearbox. All this potential for power but its important the gearbox can allow that power to be transferred to the wheels quickly and effectively. Using XHP with our custom settings works perfectly for Stage 1 and Stage 2 cars and those with higher power or racing we are able to provide fully customised gearbox mapping allowing the gearbox to handle high torque levels and maintaining crisp shifts.
